Record computer sound and get the text

AitJaz records the sound your computer plays, such as a YouTube video or a webinar, and turns it into text right on your PC. Nothing is uploaded unless you turn on a cloud service yourself.

How it works

1

Start

Click the AitJaz icon near the clock and choose “Record computer sound…”.

2

Play

Open the video or webinar and let it play. The recording panel shows that recording is running.

3

Stop

Click “Stop” on the panel, or choose the same item again. AitJaz makes the text and saves it.

What to know

  • You hear the video while it is recorded, because the sound comes from your speakers.
  • A recording can run up to 4 hours. The text is saved as Word, .txt or subtitles.
  • This mode records only the computer's sound, not your microphone.

Questions

Can I record a Zoom or Teams call?

Choose “Meeting” in the “Sound source” menu. Then your microphone and the computer sound are recorded together.

Do I need internet?

Only to download the app and, once, the speech model for languages other than Russian. Recording and transcription work offline.

Does it work with YouTube?

Yes. Any sound your computer plays can be recorded, including YouTube, webinars and online lectures.
